-What's unique about your soaps?
Southshop.us will deliver a good bar of soap. Each bar of soap is cured for at least 42 hours. When possible, the ingredients are certified organic. When fragrances are used, they are always free of phthalate, paraben, or any Ca Prop 65 ingredient. We use essential oils for the most part, and most are Certified organic. The oils are saponified, creating natural glycerin, making this an excellent soap for your body.
Packaging is made of biodegradable material, which will degrade over time.
-I got a gift card as a gift. Can I exchange it for money?
Congrats, someone must love you to gift you South. No, you can't exchange gift cards for money.
-What are not "acceptable reasons for a return"?
My goal is to ensure you are happy with your order; however, aesthetics do not qualify for a return. They do not affect the performance of the product. SouthShop is a small business that sells self-care made with high-quality ingredients while avoiding ingredients that might guarantee perfect aesthetics. I give you all the details in the product description so when you make a purchase, you are aware that there is no UV inhibitor ingredient on the candle to prevent tanning or stabilizers from frosting on the wax regardless of the temperature fluctuations. My products prioritize quality, sustainability, and health over aesthetics and trends.
-When do Gift Cards expire?
Gift cards and gift Certificates for subscriptions expire 12 months from the date of purchase.
-Can you make favors for my events?
Yes, send a detailed email to daniela@southshop.us so we can start working on this. I will reply within 24 hours.
-Can I exchange my candle? I wouldn't say I liked it after burning it.
Southshop cannot process exchanges yet. You can request a return on any unused, unopened product. Reach out to me. I want to make it right for you. I will be happy to send you samples. Reach out to me at daniela@southshop.us

-My candle has white crystals on it. Is this normal?
Totally! Southshop does not use any stabilizers or chemicals. You might experience frosting on the candle. It is the natural wax reacting to changes in the environment and temperature. Only aesthetics. It does not affect performance.
-My candle was pink, and now it is tan. Why is that?
Southshop.us only uses natural ingredients; when a colorant is used, its plant base has zero stabilizers or UV inhibitors. Discoloration might happen towards the end of the candle (last inch) as a reaction to the heat. It affects aesthetics, not performance.
My candle has a black rim; what do I do?
This is because you need to trim your wick after every use. Please follow the directions on the candle care card included with your purchase. By leaving the wicks long, you are breaking the balance between wax, the diameter of the jar, and the wick performance and causing the flame to consume more fuel per second than it should.
-My candle arrived broken; now what?

-Can you make a special batch of soap for me?
Absolutely; I can make it as small as 7 bars of 170 grams each or 27 bars of 220 grams each. Please email me at daniela@souhshop.us; I will send you a link where you can pay for the order.
Can you gift wrap?
Absolutely! I have brown kraft paper but can source anything to accommodate a special occasion. Gift wrapping is complimentary on any other over $50. We also have printed greeting cards.
-I just remembered our anniversary; I live in NYC. Can I get a gift delivered today?
We have an express fee on rush orders over $75. We can meet at Penn Station in four hours if you place the order before 2 pm.
-Do you have free shipping?
Yes, any order over $35 ships free.
-What are the ingredients on your candle?
Southshops.us candles are made of Zinc and lead-free wicks, soy wax, coconut wax, and fragrance oils. All ingredients are sustainably made, biodegradable, toxin-free,mutagen-free, carcinogen-free, and phthalate-free.
-Where are SouthShop.us candles and cosmetics made?
I started in my two-bedroom Queens apartment. I have grown, and so has business; starting January 2024, Southshop.us will call Suffolk County home. All candles and cosmetics will be made in small batches at a brand-new studio space attached to our new home.
-I'm out of candles, and date night is in two days. Can you ship today?
If you are in the city, I can meet you at Penn Station as we have a few weekly deliveries to the city. Reach out to me after placing the order by emailing daniela@southshop.us. We also have express shipping options, and I will do my best to get your order out on the same day.
-When would my order be processed?
Orders are usually processed the following day unless it is Sunday or a holiday; they will be processed and dropped off the next business day.
